Rook Interiors is a residential design studio focused on creating spaces that are safe, accessible, and deeply supportive of everyday life. We believe our homes shape how we feel, move, rest, and connect, and that thoughtful design can meaningfully improve well-being.
Our work centers on healing interiors that balance beauty with functionality. Each project is guided by a careful reading of how a space is experienced, both physically and emotionally. We design with intention, considering flow, sensory comfort, and the small details that quietly support daily rituals and routines. Accessibility is foundational to our process and informs every decision, from layout and lighting to materials and finishes.
Rook Interiors has particular experience working with neurodivergent clients and households. We design environments that prioritize clarity, predictability, and comfort, paying close attention to sensory input, spatial organization, and transitions between spaces. The goal is to create homes that feel grounding, calm, and easy to navigate.
We value transparency, collaboration, and trust. Our process is structured yet flexible, creating room for reflection, conversation, and thoughtful decision-making. Rather than imposing a fixed aesthetic, we listen closely and translate what clients are drawn to, even when it is difficult to articulate, into cohesive and intentional design solutions.

Sam Rook
Sam Rook is the founder of Rook Interiors, a residential design studio dedicated to creating safe, accessible, and deeply livable spaces. She holds a master’s degree in interior architecture and design and brings over a decade of professional experience working in residential interior design.
Her work is grounded in technical rigor, thoughtful planning, and a strong understanding of how people move through and experience space. With an academic background in psychology and hands-on experience designing for a wide range of needs and abilities, Sam prioritizes accessibility, comfort, and long-term functionality while maintaining a refined, considered aesthetic. Each project is approached with care for both form and function, ensuring spaces are as supportive as they are beautiful.
Alongside her design practice, Sam has an established career as a tarot illustrator. She has published six tarot decks and authored the accompanying guidebooks for each, developing a deep fluency in visual storytelling, symbolism, and intuitive problem-solving. That background directly informs her work in interior design, as well as her custom textile and wallpaper designs, allowing her to translate complex or unspoken client needs into cohesive, intentional environments.
Through Rook Interiors, Sam creates homes that balance luxury with livability, precision with intuition, and structure with warmth. Her work is rooted in transparency, collaboration, and the belief that well-designed spaces should support well-being, dignity, and daily life.
